Language, changes and separate ceremony

The person receiving the licence must understand, speak and read English, or may need an interpreter. The interpreter must bring valid identification.

If unable to attend the appointment, contact 905-878-7252 extension 2105 within the notice period described by the town. Its wording says within 24 hours of the appointment; confirm rescheduling directly rather than assuming a missed visit is automatically rebooked.

Choose a registered officiant through Ontario’s official listing for the ceremony. If using a town venue, Facility Bookings handles the space separately; renting a room does not supply an officiant.
