Role: Florist Assistant (Customer Experience & Retail Focus)
Location: Downtown Oakville, ON
What we look for: A passion for customer service, strong attention to detail, and a warm, enthusiastic approach to retail. (Visual Merchandising, Floral degree and / or experience are an asset, but a willingness to learn is key!)
Role Description: the Florist Assistant role is a full-time, customer-service focused, position based at our Oakville, ON location. Here you will be part of a creative and exciting environment where beautiful flowers, thoughtful design, and exceptional service come together every day.
In this position you will support daily shop operations, including greeting customers in person and over the phone, up-selling and merchandising our complete range of products, processing transactions, and helping coordinate deliveries.
You will also assist in preparing, conditioning, and organizing fresh flowers, assembling bouquets and arrangements, and replenishing displays in the walk-in cooler and retail area. Collaboration with the lead florists and support of special projects or seasonal promotions are part of the day-to-day responsibilities
The role also involves assisting with custom orders, wedding and event preparations, packaging products for delivery, and maintaining a clean, safe, and visually appealing workspace.
Our retail hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Saturday and 11 am to 4 pm on Sundays – extended hours during the Holidays.
