Now Hiring: Accountant – Finance Reporting
📍 Location: Mississauga, ON
📅 Duration: 12+ Months
Role: We are seeking an experienced Finance Reporting Accountant to support financial reporting, investment accounting, and process automation within the financial services/insurance industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly journal entries, financial statements, and reporting packages.
- Support forecasting, financial analysis, and variance explanations.
- Assist with interim and year-end audits.
- Research reporting changes and implement process improvements.
- Streamline reporting and automate manual finance processes.
Must-Have Qualifications
- CPA designation (CA/CGA/CMA) or equivalent experience.
- Strong financial services experience, preferably in insurance or investment accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills and hands-on Power Query experience.
- Knowledge of investment products and financial reporting.
- Experience working with large datasets and automating manual processes.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Nice to Have
- IFRS 17 or insurance financial reporting experience.
- Power BI, Tableau, or dashboard development.
- Month-end close and journal-entry automation experience.
