POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting the operations and maintenance of a commercial property portfolio across the Central
Region (Mississauga) ensuring buildings are maintained to a high standard.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial property management or a related field.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Building Environmental Systems (BES) Certification is an asset
- Must be bondable and able to pass a criminal background check / drivers abstract
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in maintaining and documenting all building systems in accordance with established operational
standards.
- Manage and log tenant requests, preventative maintenance activities, and building inspections through the
designated tenant request system.
- Work collaboratively with tradespeople and external contractors.
- Participate in a rotational on-call schedule.
- Provide coverage for other Building Operators at various locations throughout Mississauga and the
surrounding property portfolio.
- Be available to work overtime as required.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable governmental and municipal regulations.
- Perform assigned duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision and within agreed schedules.
- Maintain familiarity with building operations, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life
safety systems. Ensure all equipment and systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with
applicable codes and regulations.
- Perform minor maintenance and repairs, including filter replacements, lamp replacements, common area
housekeeping, washroom maintenance, and minor plumbing repairs.
- Monitor service contractor performance, ensure service levels are achieved, and provide appropriate
supervision of contractors while on site.
- Coordinate and supervise the delivery of services to tenants.
- Respond to seasonal building maintenance requirements, including snow clearing and other weather-related responsibilities.
- Assist with the pickup and delivery of rent cheques and materials between properties under management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
