Work mode: Hybrid, 3 days in office, Tuesday to Thursday
Compensation: $90,000 to $100,000 base salary, plus commission
Job type: Permanent, full time
Introduction
Our client, a large national food services and procurement company, is launching a new FF&E (furniture, fixtures and equipment) category. It is hiring a Bilingual Business Development Manager to build that category, with a path to lead it.
What You'll Do
You will spend about 70% of your time on new business and 30% on account management. You will start with an existing customer base and referrals from the company's account managers, then open net-new accounts from about month 6, working in French and English.
Responsibilities
Sell FF&E (equipment, custom furniture, millwork and turnkey projects) to existing foodservice customers.
Build trust with the company's account managers, who refer customers to you.
Prospect and open net-new accounts from about month 6.
Cover a small sports and entertainment segment.
Work quotes with the operations team, which turns them around in 4 business days.
Track your outreach, conversion rates and sales pipeline, and make the most of referrals.
Work closely with the operations and finance teams.
Qualifications
B2B business development experience and a real appetite for winning new customers.
French and English for calls and customer work (about 30% of calls are in French).
FF&E or equipment supplier experience is an asset, not a requirement. Ambitious experienced analysts are welcome to apply.
Team player who works well with operations and finance.
Comfortable with activity metrics: outreach, conversion and pipeline.
Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Benefits
$90,000 to $100,000 base salary, plus commission.
Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, Tuesday to Thursday.
Laptop provided and home office screens expensed.
