Original job description

Sr Analyst – Enterprise Messaging & Integration Support Engineer (L3)

Position Overview

The Enterprise Messaging & Integration Support Engineer Sr Analyst (L3) is an intermediate-to-senior level position responsible for providing L3 support, platform administration, and operational stability of enterprise messaging infrastructure.

The incumbent will bring strong hands-on operational expertise across one or more of the following enterprise messaging technologies: TIBCO EMS / BusinessWorks, IBM MQ (MQ Series), and Apache Kafka / Confluent Platform. The overall objective is to ensure maximum platform availability, swift incident resolution, and adherence to operational quality standards across all messaging tiers.

Experience

Recommended Qualifications

8-10 years of relevant experience in a Production Support, Platform Operations, or Infrastructure Engineering role with a focus on enterprise messaging platforms

Hands-on operational experience with two or more of the following technologies:

TIBCO: TIBCO EMS (server administration, queue/topic management, failover, log analysis), TIBCO BusinessWorks (monitoring deployed processes, log triage - operational knowledge, not development)

IBM MQ: Queue Manager administration on distributed (Linux/Windows) and/or z/OS, channel configuration and troubleshooting, MQ cluster management, DLQ management, MQ security (CHLAUTH, OAM), MQ trace and FDC analysis

Apache Kafka / Confluent: Broker and Zookeeper / KRaft administration, topic/partition management, consumer group monitoring and lag remediation, MirrorMaker operations, Confluent Control Center, Schema Registry administration (operational), REST Proxy health management

Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global enterprise environment

Demonstrated experience in ITSM-based operational models - working with ServiceNow or equivalent for incident, problem, and change management

Experience participating in on-call and shift-based support models

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of messaging concepts: queues, topics, pub/sub, point-to-point, dead-letter queues, message persistence, delivery guarantees (at-least-once / at-most-once), replication, and failover

Proficiency in log analysis and diagnostic triage across TIBCO EMS logs, IBM MQ FDC files / error logs, and Kafka broker logs

Working knowledge of SSL/TLS certificate management
